With respect to the many different groups of people using the STRAZE to work and for activities, we still require people visiting our house to wear masks while walking around and during events.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to require certificates of tests and/or vaccines for certain events (esp. concerts and parties). Please refer to the event pages in advance for further information. Thank you very much.
Artistic Positions from Afghanistan Exhibition
In the summer of 2021, the Taliban have once again taken power in Afghanistan. The threat is omnipresent. Thousands of people are still trying to leave the country. Critical contemporary artists in Afghanistan are prevented from carrying out their work and are acutely threatened with persecution. However, they are networking with each other and using the last remaining niches to continue their work.
For the exhibition, which would be impossible in Kabul, works by 22-year-old artist and gallery owner Hafiza Qasimi from Kabul and by the artists' group she founded were photographed. The pictures reflect the terrible everyday life in Afghanistan. They show hunger, war and what it is like to be a woman or a child in Afghanistan.
By making them visible, we want to set a sign of solidarity and support people who are active on the ground and stand up for the rights of women and children.
The exhibition in the STRAZEsaal can be seen: Monday, Thursday, Friday: 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Sunday: 14.00 -18.00 o'clock and during events.
Opening hours may be subject to change at short notice. We ask for your understanding.
